At present we have a choice of nine sessions per week including road running, hill reps, track & circuit training. The Sunday morning sessions are regularly depleted by official races and tend to be organised either by word-of-mouth or on the members-only forum.

Hill training - Hills are a great way to build up your speed endurance. Led by coaches Mark Pigford & Tanya Blake.

Spring Hall Sports Facility, Huddersfield Road, Halifax.

Track training - Race your way round spring hall 400m track like Mo Farrah, our track workouts are becoming more and more popular and have proved to improve many of our runners times.

Spring Hall is a modern, floodlit facility paid for by tax payers and Stainland Lions members - we contributed £1000 towards the facility. 

Free parking & toilets.

Usually takes 90 minutes. 

£2.50 per session - please bring exact change if possible.

Thursdays @ 6:45pm

Heath Rugby Club, West Vale.

This is the main club night. Usually all 4 groups available to cater for all abilities, especially steady runners. The best night to attend if you want to try us out, then join us in the bar afterwards for some well earned liquid refreshment.  Average 5 - 8 miles - click here for map.

If you fancy soething different to tarmac, some fun and exciting off road runs are available too so please bring appropriate footwear, and maybe a clean dry pair of shoes for afterwards! Usually 6 miles.
These will be advertised on the forum and Facebook page so keep an eye out.

And when the nights draw in...don't forget your headtorch!

Fridays @ 12.30pm

Spring Hall Sports Facility, Huddersfield Road, Halifax.

Timed 5k or 3k and or 1500m at Spring Hall Track. Organised by Calderdale council. Club members welcome. Cost £1.60

 

Saturdays @ 9am

Or as it's now known, parkrun day.

A weekly, free, timed run every Saturday starting at 9am.

There are now a few parkruns in the local area, they are:
Huddersfield - Greenhead Park
Halifax - Shroggs Park
Brighouse - Wellholme Park

Simply register online (free) before your first run, print the barcode emailed to you and take it with you to each run. It will be scanned by the volunteers at the end of the run. Your results will be emailed to you later in the day.

It's a great atmosphere and a friendly mix of club runners & occasional runners.
